Course Overview
This is the entry-level certification course for instructors wishing to teach the KISS or Evolution/Inspiration closed circuit rebreather for air diving. The objective of this course is to provide instructors with a good understanding involved in the use of Closed Circuit Rebreathers and to develop basic skills to a maximum depth of 30msw using air as a diluent. No decompression is allowed during this course.
Pre-requistes
Minumum age of 21.
CMAS 2 Star instructor certified.
Advanced Nitrox instructor certified.
Closed Circuit Rebreather MOD1 diver certified.
Proof of 350 logged dives of which 100 are on the specific unit.

The Closed Circuit Rebreather MOD1 instructor course covers:
- History and evolution of rebreathers
- Comparison of Open Circuit, Semi-Closed Circuit and Closed Circuit
- Practical mechanics of the system
- Physiology
- Proper scrubber packing
- Electronic or manual systems design and maintenance
- Dive tables & dive computers
- Dive planning
- Problem solving - Emergency procedures

The Closed Circuit Rebreather instructor course has no specific equipment requirement more than your standard recreational dive gear. We supply the unit, tanks and mixes, and the oxygen analyser.
