Course Overview

The Extended Range instructor course used to be called Technical instructor course. The main focus of this course is teaching deep air diving, narcosis management and advanced dive planning. At this level the instructor and his students are rigged with a full technical configuration and carry at least 2 decompression gases.

Pre-requisites

Advanced Nitrox Instructor certified.
Decompression Procedures Instructor certified.
Extended Range diver certified.
250 logged dives.

Prerogatives

After completing the Extended Range instructor course, the successful candidate can engage in teaching decompression diving to a maximum depth of 55msw on air and use multiple Nitrox gas switches (up to pure oxygen) to carry out the decompression schedule.

You can combine the Extended Range instructor course with:

Advanced Wreck instructor course.
Normoxic Trimix instructor course.
