Course Overview

This program is designed to have students gain practical teaching experience with an Active PADI Instructor.

Pre-requistes

Minimum age of 18.
Divemaster certified.
First Aid and CPR certified (not older than 12 months).
Proof of 60 logged dives.

Details of the course

The Assistant Instructor course covers:

• PADI standards and procedures
• History and code of ethics
• Products and procedures
• Liabilty and insurance
• Course planning
• Emergency procedures

Course duration and number of dives

The Assistant Instructor course can be completed within 5 day. 5 dives are required.

Additional costs

Recreational Rental equipment if needed. set p/day.
Purchase of spool, SMB and wriste slate.

Equipment requirement

The Assistant Instructor course has some specific equipment requirement more than your standard recreational dive gear. The candidate needs to add to the standard kit a knife, diving torche and note slate. We require that all candidates carry also a spool, SMB and wriste slate. Ocean Zone Divers offers special Assistant Instructor equipment packages for those interested.
