Course Overview

This course is designed to be an introduction to search and recovery diving and to help the student diver develop the necessary skills and knowledge for safe search and recovery diving.

Pre-requistes

Minimum age of 12.
Advanced Open Water diver certified or Open Water diver certified and UW Navigation Specialist certified.

The Search & Recovery diver course covers:

• Dive planning
• Limited visibility diving
• Object locating techniques
• Safety considerations for recovery

Course duration and number of dives

The Search & Recovery Diver course is a 2 day course and 4 dives are required.

Course Price

Additional costs

Recreational Rental equipment if needed. set p/day.
Purchase of spool, SMB and wriste slate.
Candidates can choose to run this program from our Luxurious Yachts involving additional costs.

Equipment requirement

The Search & Recovery Diver course has some specific equipment requirement more than your standard recreational dive gear. A compasse is required for the search process and a lift bag for the recovery process. We also require that all divers carry a spool, SMB and wriste slate.
