TDI Full Cave Diver Course

Course Overview

This course is the third and last stage in the training of cave divers development program. Advanced cave diving planning, the practical execution of different types of cave systems and scenarios divers encounter are presented. This cave diving course is not intended to prepare divers for evaluating all facets of cave diving. The objective of this course is to expand and critique previous skills accomplished in the Cavern and Introductory cave diving programs. Emphasis is placed upon dive planning and skill perfection trough actual cave penetration.

Pre-requistes

Minumum age of 15.
Introductory Cave diver certified.

The Full Cave diver course covers:

Policy for cave diving
Gas matching procedures and management to include dissimilar volume
Psychological considerations
Equipment consideration
Communication
Swimming techniques
Physiology
Cave environment
Cave conservation
Problem solving
Accident analysis
Review of dive tables and decompression theory
Cavern diving etiquette

Course duration and number of dives

The Full Cave diver course is a 4 day course and 8 dives are required.

Equipment requirement

The Full Cave Diver course has some specific equipment requirement more than your standard technical dive gear. The full cave diver program requires 3 lights, 2 spools and main line, 2 cutting devices and line arrow and cokkies.
