TDI Intro To Tech Course

Course Overview

This course introduces students to the world of technical diving. This course is designed as an introductory course to the Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures course. The objective of this is to familiarize students with technical gear configurations, to enhance open water skills (such as buoyance, trim and situational awarness), and to introduce students to advanced gas planning techniques within a no decompression context. This course is strictly a non decompression course; students are permitted to use Enriched Air Nitrox mixes, provided the gas mix is within their current level of certification.

Pre-requistes

Minimum age of 18.
Advanced Diver certified.
25 logged dives.

The Intro to Tech course is a 2 day course and three dives are required.

Equipment requirement

The Intro to Tech course has some specific equipment required for this course on top of the standard gear. All students must own or purchase a spool, SMB and wrist slate. We supply the nitrox tanks, mixes and the oxygen analyser.
