HomeJoin in for a 7 days cruise around the
Orkney Islands. This cruise will take you out of Scapa Flow (internment and scuttling site of the German High
Sea Fleet of WW1), to the waters sourounding these islands. Of course
we can find here the victims of war, but also many victims of the weather
conditions that can prove to be extremely harsh during the winter season.
Among these wrecks we find war ships, freighters, battleships, fishing
boats and submarines.
6 days cruising to the
best wrecks of the Orkney Islands and their surroundings. This cruise
is the opportunity to dive on the ships that are not programmed during
the more traditional "The
wrecks of Scapa Flow". Some of the most famous ones are the
James Barrie (a 45m trawler),
the HMS Strathgarry (a 58m fishing boat), the HMS Hampshire (a 65m cruiser),
the U18 (a 73m submarine), the HMS Pheasant (a 76m destroyer) and finally
the HMS King Edward VII (a 112m battleship).
The depths of the wrecks require a Trimix certification. Trimix II is recommended, but we accept Trimix I divers (with proof of experience) who enroll in the Trimix II program.

The MV Loyal Mediator is fully equipped
for technical diving expeditions. With a length of 25m, she is fitted
with a recompression chamber allowing treatment down to 120m, 2 double
cabins, 1 quadruple cabin and eight bunks. The fitting is simple but comfortable,
2 WC, 1 shower, TV, video and 2 generators producing 230/380 volt. She
also carrys a crane and the annexe is a 4m RIB.

We will run cruises to the Orkney Islands for GROUPS ONLY, the dates
must be set 6 monthes prior to the departure in order to charter the
boat. The offer below includes: 6 days of diving (2 dives per day),
tanks and weights, transfers from and to the airport, full board on
MV Loyal Mediator. This offer requires a minimum of 8 divers. 10% discount
is given for groups larger than 10 divers.
Extra fees include: travel fees to Kirkwall aiport and airport taxes,
equipment rental if required, gases.
