Sub 2000 dive show that just ended in Geneva. It was held from the 4th to the 6th of February for the third time. Thanks to its success in 1999, this third edition won the interest of the public mainly coming from the French part of Switzerland and the French border.

This year Ocean Zone Divers main goal was the promotion of NAUI TEC and the expedition on the Andrea Doria. The chart presented her show how to accede to the Trimix level, the top qualification of a technical diver.

This year equipment has not seen any major evolution. 300 bars tanks are becoming standard and rebreathers are growing in success. Dräger comes first with its Atlantis/Dolphin and its newer Ray (Nitrox semi closed circuit) and for Closed Circuit the Inspiration from BUDDY (mixed gas closed circuit). Beware however that this unit also holds the worst casualty record with its catastrophic 1%.

The Nitrox Stick (system designed to blend Nitrox into tanks not oxygen cleaned using a standard compressor) still not as popular as it should be.
