TDI Sidemount Diver Course

Course Overview

This course is designed to teach certified divers how to safely utilize side-mounted primary cylinders as an alternative to the traditional back-mounted configuration. This course can be combined with other TDI courses such as: Decompression Procedures, Extended Range, Trimix, Advanced Trimix and Advanced Wreck. If combined the standards for both courses must be met.

Pre-requisites

Minimum age of 18.
Open Water certified.

Gas matching & management
Physiology
Equipment consideration
Communication
Problem solving
Tight spaces
Conservation
Specific S-Drils to sidemount

Course duration and number of dives

The Sidemount diver course is a 2 day course and 3 dives are required.

Equipment requirement

The Sidemount Diver course has some specific equipment required for this course on top of the standard gear. All students must own or purchase a spool, SMB and wrist slate. We supply the tanks and required breathing gases.
