DSAT Tec Trimix Instructor Course

Course Overview

The DSAT Tec Trimix instructor course is intended for technical instructors certified as DSAT Tec 50 instructors (or qualifying certification from another training organization). The course extends their depth range capabilities by allowing them teach the use of trimix (helium, oxygen and nitrogen). The Tec Trimix instructor course qualifies the successfull candidate to teach diving down to 75msw using trimix, air or nitrox up to 100% of oxygen content.

Pre-requistes

Minimum age of 21.
Tec 50 instructor certified.
Tec Trimix diver certified.
Proof of assistance in one full tec trimix diver course.
Proof of 10 certification Deep diver or Enriched Air diver.
Proof of 350 logged dives, of which 50 deeper than 40msw requiring stage decompression and 30 deeper than 40msw using trimix gas mixes of which 10 are deeper than 50msw using a mix containing lessthan 21% of oxygen.

Equipment requirement

The Tec Trimix Instructor course uses technical gear configuration. All students must own or purchase a spool, SMB and wrist slate. We supply the double tanks, decompression tanks and nitrox/oxygen mixes, the decompression regulators and the oxygen and helium analyser.
