Ocean Zone Divers is located in Chalong, just a few minutes away from the pier. The operation is run by Andrew Fortune, currently an IT with TDI/SDI, CMAS *** Instructor (on the technical board), an IT with IANTD, an It with PSAI, a Technical Instructor with NAUI and MSDT with PADI/DSAT. Andrew has been Tec diving since 1996 and has produced dozens of Technical Instructors around the world for many different Agency's. He is also a member of the Xpedition Team and the Extreme Technical Dive Team responsible for many world famous dive expeditions and is still an active commercial offshore diver. Andrew has selected only the best instructors to teach technical diving and the standards are set high. At OZD, we do not believe in buying certifications, they must be earned.

OZD is the only dive shop in Phuket to carry a stock of technical dive gear. You can purchase equipment from brands such as OMS, Oxycheq, FA-MI and Dive Rite. We also produce in house some very specialized equipment such as blending panels, continuous blending systems and a CCR kit to modify an existing Draeger Dolphin.

Although, OZD is specialized in technical diving (TDI, DSAT, PSAI, and NAUI), we also run the whole range of recreational courses for agencies such as CMAS, NAUI and PADI. Again, our instructors are carefully selected. We believe that good education makes safer divers. We carrie recreational equipment (check our special offers) from suppliers such as AQUALUNG, SCUBAPRO, SUNTO and UWATEC.

OZD as a technical dive center has a full gas blending capacity and will blend any type of mix required for technical diving, nitrox diving or for your rebreather. Our station is fitted with continuous blending and partial pressure blending.

OZD is equipped with rental sets of technical gear. We carry steel double 15L, double 12L and double 9L and aluminum 12L, 9L, 7L tanks for decompression. We also have a few sets of tanks for rebreathers ranging from 2L to 8L. All our doubles are assembled with OMS bands and equipped with an isolation manifold and all our tanks are fitted with DIN outlets.

In front of the dive shop you will find the Scub@r, a place to enjoy some delicious Thai and European food and chill out at the bar. The Scub@r is equipped with wireless network Access, enabling you to enjoy Internet will sipping a cool drink at the bar. You can either come along with your own laptop or use one of ours. We provide the WiFi card linking you to our network. We also run a digital photo/video service allowing you to print to our hires color printers or simply burn your digitals to a CD or DVD.
